The 15th annual WNBR London Naked Bike Ride will be on Saturday 9th June 2018. Its free, its fun, its legal and its making the world a better place for everyone. We expect to run 6 start choices: Tower Hill, Regents Park, West Norwood, Hyde Park, Clapham Junction, and Kew Bridge. The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists and is a protest against car culture. WNBR is a worldwide campaign with a number of linked themes. Its objectives are to: - protest against the global dependency on oil - curb car culture - obtain real rights for cyclists - demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets - celebrate body freedom Vicky Carter and Itteshad Hossain report for WinkBall.
Brought up in the Middle East, Vicky is open to new cultures and experiences which is highlighted consistently throughout her work. With a background shaped in the creative arts, Vicky continued her passion for communication and story telling as a presenter, reporter and producer in both radio and TV, as a writer and in a workshop setting as a facilitator. Shes passionate about; culture, the creative arts, travel, extreme sports, music, and uncovering a side to London that not many get a chance to see.
Itteshad has been with WinkBall since its early incarnation. He studied film at Queen Mary, University of London and his love of film has transferred into his reports for WinkBall. Itteshad has filmed some of our best reports including the BFI film screening of Ingrid Goes West and the ITV gala in both London and Manchester. Before working for WinkBall he was a freelance videographer and worked as a production runner for several companies.
