This wall was inspired by WinkBall’s Managing Director, James Ohene-Djan’s column for London Loves Business, the first independent editorial website about London’s business scene in its entirety. Entitled The World’s Traders on London’s Streets: A Celebration of London’s Multicultural Businesses, part of the column included: “At a time when retail businesses and high streets are accused of replicating the same old brands, making London's "collection of villages" look the same as everywhere else - and this trend does exist - it reminded me of the reality beyond the corporate homogeny. The individual proprietors who bring their heritage from their corner of the world to the corners of London's streets.” See these proprietors below – all are part of WinkBall’s Business Video directory, with nearly 2,000 members. The column and wall were published on London Loves Business’ website in October 2011.
