With less than 365 days to go until London hosts one of the most historic events in the British Calendar, the 2012 Olympics, many efforts are being made by local councils and organisations to ensure it leaves a lasting legacy. Athletes Village 2013 is a conference organised by the London Civic Forum to look at the future of homes and building neighbourhoods in the Olympic site after 2012, with particular interest to the Athletes Village. "Sustainable Living," "Community Land Trusts," "Lifetime Neighbourhoods," "Home For Londoners" and "Jobs, Training and Regeneration" were all on the agenda for the five workshops taking place at the conference in Toynbee Hall. WinkBall Video Reporters were there on Thursday 28th July 2011 to speak to both delegates and attendees from differing London Councils and organisations, to find out their thoughts on the future of London post Olympics. What do you think the main legacy of the games will be for your community? What do you think the key lesson is from the Olympics for future regeneration initiatives?
