Saturday 14th July was the date for the Big Street Dance on Hounslow High Street. Local residents put on their dancing shoes as Hounslow High Street became the setting for a huge Dance street party which had on its bill an array of musical entertainers from a variety of cultures. One of the day's highlight acts was, Kuljit Bhamra as he presented, Chutney in the Street, an enchanting story telling performance with song and dance inspired by the musical styles of the Indo-Caribbean communities of Trinidad, Guyana and Surinam, all cooked up with a spicy mix of soca guitars and percussion. Another top performing act on the bill were, Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Jive Acres, who provided live music and the London Swing Dance society ran a series of dance classes in different styles like Charleston, Jiving and Rock and Roll. WInkBall video reporters were there speaking to the attendees of the Big Street Dance, asking them a number of questions such as why they came to Hounslow High Street today and what did they think of the entertainment on display?
