QIPCO British Champions Series: Ladies Day Royal Ascot Day Three

Event Date: 17/06/2011

Royal Ascot Ladies' Day meant extra efforts were made as focus switched from racing to fashion in one of the most unique and colourful occasions on the sporting calendar. On Thursday 16th June 2011, WinkBall video reporters continued their attendance at the prestigious and beautiful sporting venue, Royal Ascot. The rich heritage and history of Ascot Racecourse has meant that for almost 250 years, Royal Ascot has established itself as a national institution and the centrepiece of the British social calendar, as well as being the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world! The quality of the horseracing is simply outstanding, with £4 million in prize money on offer and a total of seventeen ‘Group’ races over the five days. WinkBall reporters are attending the event everyday to capture all the excitement that racing has to offer: drama and excitement, style and glamour, celebrities and socialising, horsepower, and of course Royalty! Check out the hats and dresswear that the Gold Cup meeting, famously known as Ladies Day, had to offer in another eventful afternoon of racing.
