Winkball citizen video reporters were at Eastlands on Wednesday 2nd March for the FA Cup fifth round tie between Manchester City and Aston Villa. With a quarter-final date with Reading awaiting the victor, a perhaps favourable route to Wembley was in the sights of both sides. Having watched their neighbours Manchester United pick up silverware consistently in recent decades, City are geared up to end their own 35-year wait for a trophy. Meanwhile, Villa fans will have seen their bitter rivals Birmingham City taste cup glory this past weekend, as they overcame Arsenal to win the Carling Cup. And with both of their close foes also still in the competition, it was to be a test of who could go the furthest, or even all the way. Ultimately, the home side cruised to a 3-0 win thanks to goals from Yaya Toure, Mario Balotelli and David Silva, with Villa fans feeling aggreived that their manager had selected a weakened side. Winkball reporters were there to speak to both sets of supporters as they readied for this latest cup adventure, and got reaction at the final whistle. Were you at the game tonight?
