Friday, 13th April, 2012 saw the second Jagermeister Music Tour come to the O2 Academy in Brixton. Celebrating alternative music, particularly heavy metal, this 2012’s Jagermeister Music Tour was headlined by Welsh band Skindred, with Northern Irish rockers Therapy? as support. Forming in 1998, Skindred are a band with a genre that is heard to pigeon-hole. Mixing musical styles, Skindred incorporate features of heavy metal, punk and reggae into their music. Releasing four albums since 2004, Skindred have been critically successful in both the UK and US. Those at the O2 Academy were treated to a commanding performance from front-man Benji Webbe. Andy Cairns and his alternative metal group, Therapy?, have been around for two decades. Having released 13 studio albums, the Northern Irish rockers have been prolific at making and releasing new music. Despite falling from the charts, Therapy? still have a wide following in the UK.
