Fans gathered for BBC's Sound of 2011 nominee, Anna Calvi's album launch on Thursday 27th January at London's Hoxton Hall. WinkBall video reporters were there to speak to the followers of the English musician who is rapidly gathering excellent reviews all round, with the innovator of ambient music, Brian Eno calling her 'the biggest thing since Patti Smith'. Born to an Italian father, a graduate of the Marnie Stern school of guitar balletics and innovation and having toured with Grinderman, this cool and composed Tarantion vamp has just released her self titled debut album.
