Steven says that the crowd at Tanz Cafe was incredible and was definitely a better time than their Dec/Jan performance. He says as a band they have been very blessed and says the one thing that they live for, their passion, (making music/singing) is what they get to do for a living. Civil Twilight and Gangs of Ballet serenaded devoted fans at the crammed Tanz Cafe in Johannesburg on Thursday night, 13 October 2011. Local band, Civil Twilight, has been playing in the States but came back to South Africa to perform at Rocking the Daisies, a music Festival in Cape Town as well as return to Tanz where they performed at the beginning of this year. They are well known for their song "Letters from the Sky" with some of their music even being featured in the TV series One Tree Hill, House,and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and the movie I am Number Four. Music lovers were introduced to the four month old Gangs of Ballet band, there song "Breaking the Silence" has been playlisted on national radio station 5FM, and this Durban band seems to be leaving an effect with the fans. WinkBall citizen video reporters Sharon and Janine interviewed fans to get their thoughts on the bands, local music and the awesome venue, Tanz Cafe.
