WinkBall video citizen reporters were at Manchester Apollo on Saturday 23rd April 2011 for R Kelly. The self-proclaimed King of R&B has had an illustrious, if somewhat controversial, career since deubting in 1992 with the group Public Announcement. Going solo a year later propelled him to the heights of the charts, with hit singles such as 'Bump N' Grind', 'I Believe I Can Fly', 'Ignition (Remix)' and 'The World's Greatest'. His own music aside, R Kelly has also written, produced and remixed songs for a wide range of artists including Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson and Jennifer Lopez. WinkBall reporters were at his Manchester concert to speak to his fans about his career, his latest album 'Love Letter' and the man himself. A lot of the fans had planned on coming last year before the tour was cancelled, but it turns out that it was worth the weight. An evening of high class jams and groove that may back up R Kelly's self-given title! Were you at Manchester Apollo tonight? What did you make of "The World's Greatest"?
