Event Date: 28/05/2011

The Zombies are an English rock band that were formed in 1961 in St. Albans and gained their initial prominence playing at the Old Verulamians Rugby Club in the city. The group formed when they were still at St. Albans school, after winning a beat-group competition they were signed to the Decca label and released their first hit 'She's Not There'. The hit peaked at number 12 in the UK and began to catch on in the US in early fall where it eventually climbed to number two in America. This hit would be one of many and their third studio album released in 1968, 'Odessey and Oracle' is ranked 80 on Rolling Stones magazines list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, an impressive achievement. The Zombies have had a long and illustrious career and in aid of their 50th anniversary they played at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Friday, 27th May 2011. WinkBall citizen video reporters Olli and Michael were at the gig asking the fans what they love about the band and are their any favourite songs they would like to hear tonight.
