Adventure, fantasy, thrills, special effects, magic and more! Experience Narnia’s internationally acclaimed story come to life on stage this summer! With such a huge fan base, the production team for 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' pulled out the big guns with an award winning team including adaptor, Rupert Goold, and co-director, Michael Fentiman. The team will collaborate with the likes that brought the magic on stage for the previous production of Peter Pan in Kensignton Gardens. ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', adapted from the fantasy novel series, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ by C.S. Lewis, will tell the story of the Pevensie children’s move to a new home in England’s countryside. During a game of hide and seek, the youngest Pevensie, Lucy, takes to the wardrobe but finds the enchanted world of Narnia on the other side. The play will follow her elder siblings, Peter, Edmund and Susan, who all find their way into the snow-covered land of Narnia. Meeting half human/half horse-like creatures and talking beavers along the way, the journey can only stay enjoyable for so long. Until the White Witch of Narnia confronts the Pevensie gang who have come into her ‘kingdom’. In addition to traditional theatre, this production will also convey the spectacles of Narnia with special effects and puppetry, in a state of the art venue, the Threesixty Theatre. WinkBall reporters were at the Kensington Gardens’ Threesixty Theatre on Tuesday 8th May 2012, to ask theatre attendees how magical the play was. These are their reviews of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
