by Event Reporters

WinkBall citizen video reporters Alex and Maisa were at the Barbican Centre on Friday 5th of November 2010, where the BBC Symphony Orchestra held an audience to a brilliant performance. As part of the BBC SO 2010-11 Barbican Season series, the BBC Symphony Orchestra performed with Debussy, Ravel, Musorgsky and Hindemith. The evening performances included Debussy's Fantasie for Piano and Orchestra, Ravel's Pavane pour une infante défunte and Musorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. The Orchestra also hosted the French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet and conductor Yan Pascal Tortelier. Our reporters found out from the classical music enthusiasts whether they had seen the BBC Symphony Orchestra in concert before, what they liked about classical music and what they were expecting to hear from the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
