King Creosote & Jon Hopkins at 02 Shepherd's Bush Empire

Event Date: 03/02/2012

Fans were in awe and reverence of Scottish singer/songwriter King Creosote and dance/electronica artist Jon Hopkins, after their ‘brave’ and ‘inspiring’ collaboration at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. The support from Scottish musical project, Withered Hand and the multi-talented songwriter, musician, animator and artist from Saintes, Francois and the Atlas Mountains, meant an evening with King Creosote and Jon Hopkins attracted an audience très cosmopolit. King Creosote aka Kenny Anderson launched his own label, Fence for his solo project King Creosote, whose fence collective soon came to the attention of independent UK stores; rough trade, avalanche and the like. Dubbed as one of 2011's dream-team pairings, Kenny and Jon didn’t disappoint in their much-anticipated performance of the Mercury-nominated album, Diamond Mine. On Thursday, 2nd February 2012, WinkBall video reporters were at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire to gather the raving reviews from the fans. Check out their 'Honest Words' below!
