Archie and Motty

All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) presented the second UK ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’ event this weekend – starting with Friday 25 May where Slayer are headlining (alongside: Sleep, Melvins, Wolves in the Throne Room, Yob, and Death Grips, so far…) It acts as a ‘sister event’ for the world famous ATP Festivals, which take place in holiday resorts. It is a series of artist curated music, film and art events being performed and presented in cities all over the globe. The debut London event at the Alexandra Palace last year was acclaimed as a triumph for ‘rock and roll’ and a welcome break-cum-addition to the festival season. And what better venue than the Ally Pally for this rock revival? Having famously hosted the legendary Led Zeppelin in 1972, New Order, the White Stripes, the Pixies, the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and more! I’ll Be Your Mirror is a welcome addition to that famous list. Expect the following across the weekend: artists, DJs, a cinema, food, extra bars – and the all-important shuttle bus to and from Wood Green! WinkBall spoke to the attendees at the iconic venue to hear their expectations and thoughts on the ATP weekender…
