Andy enjoyed the gig, he says the first song was good, the last was the best and the stuff between was superb. His favourite song of the night was 'Pure' and would rate the gig eleven out of ten. Andy loves The Lightning Seeds and would definitely see them again.

The timeless Britpop, indie band, Lightning Seeds were ‘Perfect’ and ‘Pure’ at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Saturday 18th February 2012. The nostalgic feeling of old tunes such as ‘Life Of Riley’, ‘Change’, and ‘Three Lions’, ‘Sugar Coated Iceberg’ ‘You Showed Me’ made fans night. Formed in 1989, The Lightning Seeds came onto the music scene with their psychedelic synth pop hit ‘Pure’, their 1995 album Jollification was described as a master and solidified their place on the music scene. The band spilt up in 1999 after their 1996 official England anthem for the Euro 96 football tournament’ ‘Three Lions’ sung by Frank Skinner and David Baddiel, which went to number one on the charts. Lightning Seeds reformed in 2006 and are currently made up of Ian Broudie (vocals, guitar), Riley Broudie (guitar), Martyn Campbell (bass), Angie Pollock (keyboard) and Raife Burchell (drums). Co-founder Simon Rogers, although no longer a member of the band, still works with them during album recordings. The Lightning Seeds was supported by the James Walsh WinkBall video reporters Fred and Stefan were at Shepherds Bush Empire to talk to fans of Lightning Seeds.
