An accomplished musician in his own right, Eric Johnson is an expert in an array of musical instruments, most notably his skilled proficiency on the guitar. A fantastic live performer whose vocals are as unique and special as his guitar skills, Eric has carved out himself a loyal and established fan base and his music remains as popular as it was since his early beginnings in the early 1970s. Fans were in for a treat at the Leicester Square Theatre, as the venue hosted a special and intimate performance of Eric Johnson. The rock performer took to the stage on Wednesday 11th July 2012 to entertain an expectant crowd. Performing now for over 30 years, fans were certain to be treated to a smashing evening full of riveting rock anthems and hypnotic guitar solos. Fusing different musical genres to make his own individual sound, Johnson has been inspired by varying sounds such as Rock, Blues, Folk and Country, with him also being a huge fan of guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and Django Reinhardt. Considered to be one of the best live guitarists around, Eric is renowned for his effects work on his guitar sound, using pedals, wah-wahs and delay to produce live music that is firmly recognised and regarded as his own unique work. Down at the Leicester Square Theatre speaking to fans before and after the show were WinkBall video reporters Daniel and Zoe.
