Chelsea vs Norwich

Event Date: 27/08/2011

WinkBall Citizen video reporters Carla, Charlotte, Craig, Laurent and Oliver went down to Stamford Bridge where Chelsea was playing against Norwich. The Blues third Premiership game of the season ultimately ended well, unfortunately the same could not be said for the Canaries. Trailing second last season behind Man United by nine points has left Chelsea with something to prove, but for the second week running André Villas-Boas’ men left it late before stepping up a gear for the win. Jose Bosingwa put the Blues ahead early, but the lead was neutralised by Grant Holt’s leveller. A tie seemed inevitable but a late turn of events saw the premiership newcomers fall victim to an on the spot conversion by Frank Lampard and goal in stoppage time by debutant Juan Mata. Norwich showed a lot of fighting spirit, however manager Paul Lambert will need to push his team even harder if they are to survive at this level. They have talent, but that’s nothing without solid application. And being the victims of three penalties in three straight matches a little more luck wouldn't hurt either. But the fact remains that what potentially could have been a name-making match became another lost opportunity. Our asked Blues fans for match predictions, players to watch, their opinion on the teams future this season, a message for manager André Villas-Boas’ and match reports after the game.
