Danny Byrd played Lovebox 2011 on Saturday 16th July. Hospital Records had the stage set for some of their biggest names to set the festival alite with some liquid and heavy drum and bass beats. Danny had just got back from Portugal and was getting everything ready for his set when he spoke to us. Danny Byrd (born 1979) is a drum and bass DJ, producer and musician from Bath in the South West of England. He is influenced by house, UK garage, R&B and the Old Skool Rave / Jungle Techno sound and releases his music primarily on Hospital Records, the UK based, independent dance music label.
WinkBall were backstage at Lovebox 2011 on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th July. We spoke to a number of artists playing the festival about what they are up to at the moment, how they were finding Lovebox 2011, what they had in store for their sets and if they could party with anybody anywhere in the world, who and where would it be? As well as interviewing artists we also filmed some of the sets going on around the numerous stages and we even caught Snoop Dogg entering his private section with his entourage. He even had his own Nando's! Example would be proud! Of course we also spoke to over a thousand music fans at the festival, capturing their highlights as well as asking them many music and festival based questions.
