Search and Destroy - UK Boxing

Event Date: 06/06/2011

Olivia Goodwin has made history by organising her first professional boxing event 'Seek and Destroy' which was held at York Hall on Saturday, 4th June 2011. The reason why this is such a momentous event is that Olivia, who is only twenty, becomes the United Kingdoms youngest individual to promote a professional boxing event, beating the previous youngest by eleven years. Olivia also joins a unique and elite group of women, Jane Couch and Miranda Carter, who have managed to break into the male dominated professional boxing promoter ranks. Olivia's plans for 'Search and Destroy' give us a clear idea that she has great negotiating skills as she has managed to arrange two title fights to co-headline her inaugural show, as well as an amazing and substantial quality under card. The first headline features former English title challenger Ryan 'Mr. Attitude' Barrett who undertakes his first defence of the International Masters Lightweight title against former Kenyan Super Featherweight Champion Geoffrey 'The Tiger' Munika. The co-headlining bout between former IBF Super Middleweight title challenger Toks Owoh, who will be taking on the unbeaten Tony Conquest for the vacant British Cruiserweight crown. It looks to be an event not to be missed. WinkBall citizen video reporters were at the event talking to trainers, fighters and boxing enthusiasts.
