When Coldplay annouced they were playing at the Etihad stadium in Manchester on Saturday 9th June, fans went crazy. The concert sold out within hours which meant Coldplay had to add an extra date to the Manchester leg of their tour. Coldplay are a British alternative rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London.
