Event Date: 02/06/2011

The British singer-songwriter, composer, producer and accomplished musician Sami Yusuf performed at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday 1st June 2011 as part of his 'Wherever You Are' Tour. Sami Yusuf is one of the UK's biggest exports in the last decade, having won over hearts and minds from the UK and Europe to Africa and the Middle East. Hailed by Time magazine as Islam's biggest Rock Star and The most famous British Muslim in the World, by The Guardian, his shows are grand and highly personalised. After a period of four years, his fans welcome him back to his London hometown. As a young, British-Muslim he is a passionate advocate of unity, cross-cultural appreciation through promotion of universal values and the celebration of the human spirit, manifested both musically and philosophically in his third album, ‘Wherever You Are’. The concert was held in support of War Child, which helps to illumine the lives of countless children in the MENA region whose present is overshadowed by an uncertain future. Check out below what fans thought of his gig and why they share so much love for Sami Yusuf!
