Band of Skulls: The Roundhouse

Band of Skulls: The Roundhouse

Band of Skulls pleased Londoners by adding an extra date to their February/March 2012 tour – they were rocking the Roundhouse on Tuesday 6 March. Fans of the garage rockers can expect a ‘Sweet Sour’ blend of alternative rock from the Southampton trio, as they perform tracks from their most recent album, released in the UK last month, ‘Sweet Sour’. They recorded it in Wales’ Rockfield Studios, with production from Ian Davenport – who also produced their debut album. Expect similar sounds to the early releases – they’ll be hoping to emulate the success of tracks like ‘I Know What I Am’, from the ‘Baby Darling Doll Face Honey’ LP, which was selected as an iTunes Single of the Week. The British rock three-piece, who met at college and were previously known as Fleeing New York – they consist of Russell Marsden on guitar and vocals, Emma Richardson on bass and vocals and drummer Matt Hayward. They are known to deliver great live performances, so tickets for this extra date were snapped up fast. Taking their influences from early Radiohead with multi-faceted rock and larger ideas, the band are a steadfast in the UK rock scene.
