Lynne Franks’ Seed Clinic: Women of the World Festival 2012 One of the ultimate businesswomen is Lynne Franks – her name is synonymous with so much, from public relations expertise to women’s business empowerment. Author of ‘The SEED Handbook: The Feminine Way To Do Business’, Franks is hosting her own SEED Clinic on Friday 9 March as part of the Southbank’s Women of the World Festival 2012. Franks is inviting guests to join her and the SEED Coaches to learn about starting a sustainable business, using the SEED values of connection, community and collaboration. The interactive workshop includes one-to-ones and aims to inspire the women at the session with ways and means of creating a business they’d previously merely dreamed of. What better way to get the creative and inspirational juices flowing than with words from Lynne Franks? Jude Kelly, the founder of WOW and Southwark Centre Artistic Director, opens the Clinic by interviewing Lynne Franks. Described as a lifestyle guru and visionary, a torchbearer for women’s working rights, and ethical business, and an acclaimed international spokesperson – amongst many other facets – Franks symbolises so much for aspiring business women, who want to retain their sense of femininity in their business life. She is the founder of SEED – Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics – a provider of women's learning and coaching programmes on economic empowerment, sustainable business practices and creative leadership, as well as a global on and off-line women's support network. Lynne Franks built up her successful PR company throughout the 80s, focussing predominantly on fashion and entertainment. She then used her renowned success and experiences to help other women embark and build on their own businesses – particularly highlighting the benefits of applying ethical practices. Her consulting experience with both the public and private sectors; her global work with women's enterprise, and her recognised gift as a 'futurist' have given her considerable insight into the way forward for modern society.
