Marcia is at Mary's Giving and Living shop to support the launch and is a volunteer for the Save the Children charity. Everything donated to the shop is given by celebrities which makes Mary's store very special and different to other charity shops.The money exchange for gifts also goes directly to the charity, helping save children's lives.
This year's party season kicked off on Wednesday, 10th November, as donations of dazzling killer heels were showcased at Mary's Living and Giving charity shop in aid of the cause: "Killer Heels to Kick out Killer Diseases". WinkBall video reporters were in Westbourne Grove for a preview of the appeal, which calls for the fashion industry and the British public to donate a pair of their party shoes to help raise money for Save the Children. The UK initiative is to help kick out worldwide diseases such as pneumonia, malaria, diarrhoea and measles. Influential celebrities such as Samantha Cameron, Sienna Miller, Sadie Frost and Jonathan Ross have all stepped forward to donate. The Killer Heels appeal officially launches on Friday, 12th November to coincide with World Pneumonia Day. For a sneak preview check out our videos below.
