Sean is down at Birkenhead Park for Cancer Research and Tesco's annual fundraiser Race For Life. 5,000 ladies participated in this moving event.
There was a light smattering of rain over Birkenhead Park this Sunday 10th July 2011 but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the ladies in pink. Up to 5,000 women participated in this year’s Tesco and Cancer Research’s Race For Life event, all of whom had inspirational and moving stories as to why they were taking part. WinkBall reporters were very moved by the ladies and gentlemen that they spoke to, all of whom were running in support or memory of a loved one who has battled this disease. The monies raised from today’s event and those around the country will be ploughed into research to try to come up with a cure for cancer. The ladies were a veritable vision in pink as they made their way around the 5k and 10k course.
