GB National Series 2011: Evesham

Event Date: 26/05/2011

The Olympic Games that are to be held next year in London will feature the target discipline of archery. Requiring a great deal of nerve and a certain amount of skill and precision, archery has become universally popular across the UK with the continued emergence of local Archery clubs. For the 2012 Olympic Games, archery will be held at Lord's Cricket Ground. The chase for team selection in the Team GB squad for London 2012 is now on and the National Series is great practise for those hoping to represent Great Britain come 2012. The first stage begun last week in Evesham, Worcester. A host of archers will compete against each other and will hope to do well at this prestigious event. WinkBall reporters were down at the National Series speaking to some of the competitors and finding out how they got involved in the sport and how they felt about the Olympics coming to London in 2012.
