Lonehill Estate, Easy Tiger and Holly Wasserfall - Tanz Cafe 2011

Event Date: 22/07/2011

Amazing local bands Lonehill Estate and Easy Tiger were joined by Durban new comer Holly Wasserfall at Tanz Cafe on Thursday 21 July. Holly wowed the audience with her bands indie afro pop, Easy Tiger looked smokin hot in their tiger coats and as per usual Lonehill Estate gave an entertaining yet sweet-music-to-the-ears performance. Lonehill Estate is one of the top live performing bands in South Africa, with their mischevious rock sound poking fun at politics and the music industry, their shows are riddled with offensive anecdotes and eye-twitchingly good music. Easy Tiger is easy to listen to and easy to love, but it's defining them that proves a little difficult. Easy Tiger is a fusion of genres, as African beats - hand on hip - lean casually against pillars of cool jazz and where pop - with a glimmer in her eye - bats a glittered lash at the dirty pretty things of rock. Holly Wasserfall, only 15 years of age, is a New Generation South African and although "sweet" looking, she harbours a powerful voice which she entwines well with her unique bands sound. WinkBall citizen video reporters Candice and Marko interviewed gig goers and even some band members and found out their thoughts on the bands performing, the venue Tanz Cafe as well as South African music.
