Amon Tobin, the man who has been described as a virtuoso sound designer, sold out at the HMV Forum on Thursday 24th November 2011. Hailing from Brazil, the electronic music artist has nine albums under his belt, his latest being ISAM. His music has been featured in films, adverts and games, most notably Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. His music has been said to hold a likeness to a score for a film, and it's easy to see, since he has stated that directors such as David Lynch have influenced his music. Tobin's methods of production create an intricate soundscape, with his sounds coming from a multitude of sources, manipulated to work together as an unrecognisable blend of the original recordings. WinkBall reporters Daniel and Stefan were outside the packed out venue to talk to fans and find out what it is about Amon Tobin and his music that brought them down to the night.
