Arsenal v Sunderland

Event Date: 05/03/2011

On Saturday, 5th March 2011, WinkBall citizen video reporters Alice, Emerson, Josh, Sara and Adam were at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal hosted Sunderland in a Barclays Premier League match-up. Still crippled by injury and the memory of a Carling Cup loss, the Gunners struggled to stay focused with one eye understandably on their clash with Barcelona. Sunderland meanwhile were determined to avoid a fifth successive defeat and were focused on gaining another victory at Arsenal. However both teams would ultimately miss the mark as the match ended in a 0-0 draw. A controversial decision by referee Anthony Taylor not to award Andrey Arshavin a late penalty after a clear foul from Sunderland captain Titus Bramble may have cost the Gooners the game. The draw closes the gap between Arsenal and leaders Manchester United, the difference being one very painful point. Our reporters were on hand before the game to ask fans for their match predictions, players to watch and messages for manager Arsene Wenger and more. After the match we got reports and discovered who the fans thought was man of the match. Were YOU there? If we missed you please record a wink and share your thoughts!
