One of the leading official partners of the London 2012 Olympic Games, technology company Samsung were proud to announce to the public and press the release of their exciting new mobile app at the press launch for the Samsung Hope Relay. Taking place at London’s iconic City Hall on Monday 14th May 2012, the media world gathered in vast amount to find out more about this exciting initiative that aims to help people get fit and get into the true spirit of the Olympics whilst helping those in need. Giving out free trainers to the public to help them get running, Samsung’s new mobile app will donate one pound for each mile that is ran by someone to important children’s charities the likes of Kids Company and International Inspiration. A chance for those to get involved in the Olympic spirit, with the help of this new mobile app, the nation will have the chance to be getting fit whilst helping kids in dire need of help and assistance. There at City Hall to help launch this fantastic new app and Olympic initiative was British Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. Both passionate about the app and the great work it can do, Victoria and Jamie were there to champion the cause and encourage people to do what they can and get involved and most importantly, download the app! WinkBall video reporters Daniel and Zoe were down at City Hall to speak to members of the public, Samsung representatives plus representatives of the charities this app will help, to discover more about the mobile app, how it works and how important it is in transforming the lives of others.
