The Olympic Games heads to London this summer and the world’s eyes will be on the capital. Wednesday 18th April 2012 marked a significant day in the countdown to the world’s biggest event, with the countdown clock in Trafalgar Square ticking below 100 for the first time. 10,500 athletes from 203 countries will head to London, accompanied by 8.8 million ticket holders and millions of other sports fans. Alongside the 100-day countdown, the London 2012 motto was released: “Inspire a Generation”. WinkBall reporters Michael and Lucio took to Trafalgar Square to talk to the public about their expectations for the games, what the most exciting aspect of the games is for the fans and what they hope the games bring to London.
