Hannah enjoys Roots Manuva’s big beats and she can identify with the things he’s singing/rapping about. Sometimes serious other times humorous, but seldom the bling and bitches and hoes American hip hop artists have come to be known for. She’d love to hear him collaborate with a dub step artist like Burial.

It’s ‘Too Cold’ out there! Thank the Lord for Roots Manuva sent to the Roundhouse, Camden on Saturday the 4th January 2012 to warm up the scene ‘Again and Again’. Tonight back in his hometown of London to lay his particularly British urban dance music. Listening to his back catalogue and current tunes, it’s like a good healthy meal with a phat baseline, each dish seasoned with different flavours of Hip Hop, Dub, Dance Hall, Raga, Grime, Soul and Funk. Throughout it all, it’s most definitely Roots Manuva; it’s his take on the way thing are, put so eloquently in a recent interview: “You got to sing like no one’s listening”… or even better… You got to fart like there’s no one there to smell it!” Now that‘s ‘Awfully Deep’ long live 4everevolution.It can only be a fantastic evening of bubbling. Zoe and Laurent WinkBall citizen reporters where at the Camden gig to get the fans feelings of the evening’s lyrical servings… Bon appetite!
