Chelsea 4 - 1 Napoli (Chelsea win 5-4 on aggregate) Producing one of the best displays of football that Stamford Bridge has played witness to in recent years, Chelsea staged a remarkable comeback in their European Champions League return leg against Napoli with the Blues overturning the 3-1 aggregate score, winning on the night 4-1 to make it 5-4. The win ensured Chelsea would be going through to the Champions League quarter finals and would make them the only English team left in the competition. Showing great team spirit that was alike to their London counterparts Arsenal last week, it was the old guard of Chelsea that had been so heavily criticized under the reign of Andre Villas-Boas, that was responsible for the tremendous fight that the Blues displayed last night. Goals from the likes of John Terry and striker Didier Drogba proved the last remaining remnants of the Chelsea team that legendary boss Jose Mourinho developed years ago, still had what it takes when competing at European elite level as their goals put the Blues well on their way to victory. Despite a comeback goal from Napoli's Gokhan Inler which unsettled the tie somewhat, another Chelsea veteran proved his worth when Frank Lampard coolly slotted home a penalty to level the game 4-4 and send it into extra time. It was then defender Branislav Ivanovic who sent the Stamford Crowd faithful into raptures with his goal making it 4-1 on the night and 5-4 overall to Chelsea and making certain their Champions League journey continues. Now under the new direction of caretaker boss Roberto Di Matteo, the Blues have seen their form improve and spirits lifted with the victory last night against Napoli being their third successive win. Mood around Stamford Bridge has been lifted considerably since the departure of Andre Villas-Boas and now the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich wait for them this week in the quarter final draw. On Wednesday 14th March 2012, WinkBall video reporters headed down to Stamford Bridge to speak to fans ahead of the European Champions League clash between Chelsea and Napoli.
