WinkBall were once again at the heart of the action for Britain’s most renowned cultural events, the Proms. An eight week summer celebration of classical and orchestral music, the Proms are a must on the British social calendar. Taking place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, WinkBall video reporters were down at the historic venue once again for what was the 13th night of the Proms on Tuesday 24th July 2012. On this special occasion, the 13th night celebrated the work of legendary German composer Ludwig Van Beethoven and contemporary French composer Pierre Boulez. Performing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 in F major, Symphony No. 7 in A major and Boulez’ Anthemes 2, the evening would be conducted by Daniel Barenboim, who would be continuing his celebration of the famous Beethoven, whose music he believes ‘speaks to all people’. Speaking to the many music fans that had travelled to the Royal Albert Hall, WinkBall found out first hand what they loved about the Proms and what makes it such a unique event.
