The Stranglers at Manchester Academy

Event Date: 27/03/2011

WinkBall citizen video reporters were at Manchester Academy on Saturday 26th March for The Stranglers. The Surrey band are the longest-surviving and most "continuously successful" band to have emerged from the UK punk scene of the mid-to-late 1970s. With 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades, it's pretty hard to argue! WinkBall reporters were in attendance for their latest Manchester gig to speak to the fans. There was lots of love for their timeless hits such as 'Golden Brown', 'Peaches' and 'No More Heroes', but their hardcore fanbase say that the band have been consistent in their output for their entire duration and tonight rolled back the years and delivered a solid set! Were YOU at Manchester Academy tonight? What did you make of The Stranglers, and how many years do you think they'll carry on? Upload a video message below and have your say!
