Architecture in Helsinki are an Australian band from Melbourne, Northcote who are made up of Cameron Bird, Gus Franklin, Jamie Mildren, Sam Perry and Kellie Sutherland. These muso's are extremely talented playing multiple instruments ranging from analog synthesisers, samplers, the glockenspiel, handclaps, trumpet, tuba, trombone, saxophone and clarinet to name but a few. In February 2003 they released their debut album 'Fingers Crossed' followed in close succession with 'In Case We Die' in 2005 which received three ARIA nominations including Best Independent Release, Best Artwork and Best Contemporary Release. The song 'It's Five' received widespread airplay on Triple J, Australia's national radio network and made the annual Triple J Hottest 100 countdown in 2006. Their latest 2011 single 'Contact High' from their 4th studio album 'Moment Bends' is receiving national airplay on Triple J and they are currently on a world wide tour. WinkBall citizen video reporters Alice, Freya and Maisa were at XOYO on Tuesday, 12th April 2011, to talk to Cameron Bird from the band. They also asked fans what they love about them, any songs they would like to hear and collected questions for these talented musicians.
