Event Date: 26/02/2011

On Saturday 26th February , WinkBall citizen video reporters Adam and harriet were at the Rivermead Leisure Complex in Reading for the Alex Strachan Cup Competition. The Aerobics gymnastic competition is said to showcase the most dynamic and energetic of all the gymnastic disciplines. Both male and female gymnasts competed as individuals and in pairs, trios and groups of 6. Gymnasts compete from the age of 9 years and many continue far beyond the age of 18. Routines must evidence speed, power and strength, whilst the gymnast continuously moves around the floor interpreting the rhythm, tempo and accents of the music. We asked competitors, coaches and fans in attendancd about why they love the sport, who to watch out for and prospects for the 2012 Olympics.
