London Fashion Week 2012: Day Four

Event Date: 21/02/2012

The fashion world has taken centre stage with the arrival of London Fashion Week 2012. Part of the big four fashion weeks that also include New York, Paris and Milan; London Fashion Week is the capital’s chance to see what new trends are in the fashion world and to see the latest designs and ranges on display from some of the most exciting and iconic designers working today. One of London’s most culturally significant events of the year, London Fashion Week is the place to be for any fashionista with it being a constant source of inspiration and forum of creative discussion in the fashion world. Taking place at London’s famous Somerset House, this renowned location would be the home for thousands of designers, models, agencies and fashion fans for the next couple of days. With the fashion world being an industry that has constantly changed and evolved with time, the onset of the digital and social media world has played a big role in fashion as an industry as a result. With popular fashion blogs the likes of the Sartorialist and the New Girl in Town, and the use of popular social media platform Twitter, to discuss new trends and styles, we have seen London Fashion Week and its journalism enter a new online realm that goes beyond a copy of Vogue Magazine. Throughout this week WinkBall reporters would be bringing their exciting online video coverage to London’s most iconic fashion event, London Fashion Week, getting an inside look at the real goings on behind the scenes, speaking to designers, models and all fashionistas. On Monday 20th February 2012, it was the fourth day of London Fashion Week. On this day, WinkBall video reporters Alicia and Sofia were at Somerset House talking to London Fashion Week’s many attendants. Asking fashionistas to talk them through their outfit, speak about current trends and what designers they are looking forward to watching.
