The Africa Fashion Trade Expo is Africa’s one stop fashion sourcing and shopping platform: a showcase of Africa’s best and the launch of new collections of fashion and accessories from South Africa and the rest of the continent’s designers. This platform allows for the meeting of fashion buyers and media, networking within the industry, designers also have the opportunity to promote their latest range to their target industry and increasing their portfolio of clients. Business seminars and fashions shows were also a feature throughout the expo, giving everyone who attended something to learn or see. WinkBall citizen video reporters Sharon and Candice attended the public day of the expo on Friday 21 October 2011 at the Sandton Convention Centre to talk to exhibitors, designers, models and expo attendees about the event (as well as watch one or two of the gorgeous fashion shows).
