Newtown was set alight with colour and flavour this past Saturday in celebration of Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights! People flocked together to enjoy the array of delights on offer from spectacular entertainment in music and dance, to fashion, to an arts-and-crafts fair, all wrapped up in the spirit of carnival! With the revelry ever-increasing on the joy of the celebrating attendees, the night spilled over into a Bollywood street-style party! Culminating in a fireworks display, the event ended with a bang, as an array of dazzling lights lit up the night’s sky!
