Around 40,500 packed into the Midlands venue on Tuesday, 29th May, 2012 as fireworks and smoke greeted the band’s arrival on a grafitti themed set. As the light faded, thousands and thousands of coloured wristbands lit up the stadium as confetti rained down on the band and their hits from Yellow to Clocks rang around the Ricoh. Chris Martin Tweeted afterwards: “What an incredible crowd we just played for in Coventry. Thank you so much for making it one of our favourites.” The band has won a number of music awards throughout their career, including seven Brit Awards—winning Best British Group three times, four MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Grammy Awards from twenty nominations. As one of the world's best-selling music artists, Coldplay have sold over 55 million records worldwide. In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth best artist of the 2000s. Playing as part of a U.K. wide Arena tour to promote their new album, "Mylo Xyloto" WinkBall video reporters spoke to the fans outside the Ricoh Arena to talk all things Coldplay.
