LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip at Alexandra Palace

Event Date: 11/11/2010

On Wednesday, 10th November 2010, Winkball citizen video reporters Freya and Onyeka were at Alexandra Palace, where LCD Soundsysytem performed after their support act, Hot Chip. The super sharp, genre splicing, funk-punk/nu-disco legend James Murphy, has decided to close the curtains on his LCD project after releasing the bands third album. Alexandra Palace may well of been the last call for fans to bask in his glitter, mirrorball reflecting glory. The gig featured a heavy helping of his latest album 'This Is Happening', plus older killer cuts such as 'Daft Punk Is Playing at My House', 'Give It Up' and, of course, the track that started the whole romance, 'Losing My Edge'. Hot Chip provided excellent support with their soulfully sweet, sleek, house flavoured pop. Our reporters asked fans who they came to see, how long they have been listening to the bands and what they were expecting from the evenings performance. After the gig we gathered reviews form the fans. Are YOU a fan of LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip? What do you think about their music? Record a reply and make a noise!
