Shankar-Ehsaan-Loyare is one of India's most celebrated and acclaimed musical groups who have produced numerous soundtracks for Bollywood films, from Kal Ho Naa Ho to Dil Chahta Hai and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. These soundtracks have all sold more than 2 million copies in India alone. This amazing and brilliant trio also produced the official anthem “De Ghuma Ke” for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and the soundtrack to the BBC film West is West. All three of these talented and prodigious members bring something unique and exceptional to the group: singer Shankar Mahadevan combines the Carnatic (South Indian) and Hindustani (North Indian) vocal traditions, while guitarist Ehsaan Noorani brings a zest of western rock and Loy Mendonsa (synth/keyboard) contributes a deep mastery of musical fusion. Together they make sounds and music that are profoundly moving and that touch a part of your soul that resonates with love, passion and a longing for the sublime. In celebration of 20 years of excellence in Asian music, promoters Asian Music Circuit held a feast of Indian music and dance, Asia Rocks! with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loyare who performed for the first time in London and were introduced by a spectacular Bollywood display from the KSPARK Dancers. On Sunday, 18th September 2011, WinkBall citizen video reporters were at the Asian Rocks! show at the Royal Albert Hall, asking the fans what their expectations were for the show, what favourite songs of theirs they would like to hear and what they thought of the performance.
