Field Day Festival 4

Field Day Festival 4

Field Day, now in it's fifth year has an illustrious and notorious reputation for bringing some of the most progressive and adventurous musical artists to a beautiful leafy park in East London. It is a celebration of everything that is ingenious, fantastical and inspiring in the cosmos of alternative music. This kaleidoscope of sounds had its humble beginnings in 2007 selling out to 10,000 people with a line-up that included Bat For Lashes, Battles, Caribou, Foals and Electrelane. Since then it has grown in leaps and bounds and in 2011 there were 20,000 people at Victoria Park with artists including Darkstar, Gruff Rhys, Jamie Woon, DJ Skull Juice, Spector, Anna Calvi, James Blake, Horrors, Sea and Cake, DJ Justin Spear and Sun Ra Arkestra all celebrating their craft with musical lovers from across the world. WinkBall citizen video reporters were at the event on Saturday, 6th August 2011 to ask the festival goers what has brought them to the occasion, what they love about Field Day and whether they'll be attending any other festivals before the summer is through. As always you can record your own reply in addition to everyone else on WinkBall.com
