The Kooks have been an icon in the British indie music scene since their formation in 2004. The band formed having met at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. With lightning speed, they were signed to Virgin Records after performing at the Brighton Free Butt Festival in 2005. Over the years the roster was shuffled, and three albums later they enjoyed a great presence in mainstream Britpop, indie and ska. Their fans came to see them play at the O2 Academy Brixton, anticipating a mix of old and new, since the band released their latest studio album entitled 'Junk of the Heart' only a month earlier. On Tuesday, 11th October WinkBall reporters Alex, Dean and Laurent interviewed the fans outside the venue to capture their excitement - see what they thought!
