Winkball citizen video reporters were at Manchester Apollo on Sunday 6th March for Beady Eye. Notorious before even striking a chord for being the next musical offering from Liam Gallagher following the break-up of 90s Britpop heroes, Oasis, Beady Eye have been busy recording and fine-tuning as opposed to playing live. That has all changed since the release of their debut album - 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' - on 28th February, with Liam and fellow Oasis members Andy Bell and Gem Archer hitting the road for a short promotional tour. With one eye probably on their array of summer festival inclusions, a hometown gig at Manchester Apollo was definitely a chance to test the water and see if the material went down as well as it had in album reviews. Winkball reporters were there to capture the excitement and reactions of the Beady Eye fans, and it's fair to say that they rocked more than just socks off! Exceding expectations of the people that have followed since the early days of Oasis can only be a good thing, surely. Were you at the gig tonight, or another on the tour? What did you make of Liam & co's big return to the stage? Can they leave a legacy anywhere near as rich as that of their former outfit? Leave us a video message below and share your views!
