Fashion lovers and bargain hunters gathered in Covent Garden on Thursday 16th April 2012 for an evening of shopping frenzy. The famous West End area of Seven Dials and St Martin’s Courtyard is home for a diverse selection of clothing shops, independent boutiques, beauty and grooming salons or food and drink establishments. The seven road junction is also well-known for its history as one of the most notorious slums in London, pictured by Charles Dickens in his collection Sketches by Boyz, W.S. Gilbert in Iolanthe or Agatha Christie in The Seven Dials Mystery. More recently, Neal’s Yard notably saw the the birth of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. But this past is far behind, and the now shopping heaven hosted a 20% Discount Shopping Event from 5 to 9pm this Thursday on over 120 stores and venues, alongside many in-store activities such as DJs, live music, makeovers, complimentary food and drink or giveaways, especially for the night.
