Tartuffe or The Imposter - The Liverpool Playhouse

Event Date: 16/09/2011

Saturday 17th September 2011 sees WinkBall Liverpool’s first visit to the Liverpool Playhouse for Roger McGough’s brilliant adaptation of Moliere’s classic comedy ‘Tartuffe or The Imposter’. ‘Tartuffe is a beacon of piety and has his feet firmly under the table in the home of wealthy merchant, Orgon. But the family smells a rat and amid the frills and frivolity of Seventeenth Century society, they hatch a cunning plan to outwit the wily deceiver before he brings their house crashing down…’ The production is opening in Liverpool before rolling out nationwide with English Touring Theatre. WinkBall reporters Sean and Will were down at The Playhouse to speak to the audience before and after the show. Have you seen this show? Would you recommend it to others?
