On Wednesday 22nd February 2012, WinkBall video reporters were in Hoxton, East London’s renowned music venue XOYO for the performance of dubstep producer and DJ Flux Pavilion. Real name Joshua Steele, Josh is well known on the DJ circuit for his work in the electronic and dubstep genre of music and is also known for being the co-founder of Circus Records. Flux Pavilion found great success with one of his more recent musical efforts “Bass Cannon”, which back in 2011 was placed on the Radio 1 A-List. His music has since been sampled on an album from artists Jay-Z and Kanye West and off the back of his work in 2011, he has recently been nominated in the prestigious BBC Sound of Poll 2012. Flux is clearly one to look out for this year and his beats and grinding bass will undoubtedly be appreciated by more and more people as the beat goes on. Playing in London’s XOYO venue, WinkBall reporters Dean and Oliver were speaking to fans asking what they loved about Flux Pavillion, how they had discovered his music and what their expectations were of the evening?
